Structure of the Project

MaGIC Project is defined by a Research Agreement between  Civil Protection Department and National Research Council - IGAG (Istituto di Geologia Ambientale e Geoingegneria), which acts as main contractor of the Project.

The activities are subdivided in 19 workpackages, each modulating scientific and/or technical aspects:

• WP1 is preposed to coordinating and supervising on the activities and quality of the products;
• WP2 and WP3 deal with integration of previous data and building up of a literature database.
• WP4 to WP19 correspond to the Research Groups involved in mapping activity and production of the Geohazard Maps.

To each Research Group is assigned one or more Map Sheets within a defined geographical area, according to the experience and competence of each groups in specific sectors of the Italian margins.
